The Fidella® Fly Tai is our iconic carrier and a combination of baby sling and comfort carrier.
The cross-over carrier is particularly popular with families who love babywearing. The wrap-like carrier scores with its flexibility and easy handling for different types of caregivers. The shoulder strands do not need to be adjusted separately and adapt easily to any wearer when tying. This means that the baby can be carried at any time by any member of the family - whether mom, dad, sibling or grandparents.
The ergonomic design of the Fidella® Fly Tai adjusts to you and adapts perfectly to your growing child. Whether the baby or toddler variant, determined by the size of your child. Our Fidella® Fly Tai is usable from about 3 months up to preschool age. The wrap-like shoulder strands are padded and offer you a variety of binding variations that relieve your shoulders and make the second skin feel perfect. Maximum flexibility with the highest possible comfort.
The sling carrier can be carried in three ergonomic positions: in front of the stomach, on the back or on the hips.
All our baby carriers have an integrated hood. You can also use it as a headrest for your baby, if he or she is not yet able to hold their head up independently. The hood is also used to protect your baby from wind and weather, or simply to give your baby the necessary rest while sleeping.

Sooo comfy and soft. Love feeling my son close to me. My previous carrier was full of buckles and zippers and pockets and I wanted something simpler. There is definitely a learning curve though. I have large shoulders and I sometimes find the shoulder fans to be squishing me a bit. I'm experimenting with different finishes to help spread the weight more. Little one is now 8 months old and he goes crazy when I take the fly tai out for our walk! Amazingly well made and very adjustable. Thank you Renee!
I came into Renee's shop to try on some other specific carriers, while explaining my needs as my buckled SSC wasn't working as well for me anymore as my chunky monkey keeps growing (19 lbs at 6 months). Since I had experience with the Moby wrap when baby was tinier, Renee suggested I try a mei tai, as the weight is more evenly distributed. In comparing it to the others I was trying on, it really did give my body the support it needs and baby seemed comfy too, so I walked away with the Fly Tai outer space blue pattern (so lovely looking). If others have the chance to come in to try things on, I highly recommend it.
Admittedly the Fly Tai has a bit of a learning curve and sometimes I do miss the convenience of the quick buckle snap on (but I've surrendered ours to my husband); baby gets impatient sometimes as I work to get her in. But after watching more videos, I'm getting better and faster. And it is really comfortable. I have yet to try a back carry. I look forward to travelling with this one too as it's super easy to fold up.
As someone else said, I do wish it was machine washable.
I borrowed a fly tie and fell in love! I bought this the next day and it's perfect. Extremely comfortable for myself and baby. The fabric is so soft and the pattern is simply lovely.
Absolutely in love with my carrier!
The fabric is thick and sturdy, but also gorgeous and soft! I'm beyond thrilled with my purchase, and plan to purchase another carrier in the future!
Also it fits my husband, and with a 100lb weight difference between us, that's pretty impressive!
I am really happy I added this to my small collection. It's more comfortable than my Tula and quicker to put on than my woven wrap. It feels well made and is a lovely pattern. The only downside is that the long tails can be a bit fiddly when wrapping outside in the wet so I wish it were machine washable so I didn't have to worry about getting it dirty.
