Our zero-waste vegan dish washing block™ is a cleaning powerhouse with a rich, sudsy lather. Cuts stubborn grime and grease, without drying out your hands.
You can even use it for cleaning-duty all over your home. Take stains out of laundry, take labels off of jars, spot clean your carpet, use it to wipe down counters... it's a truly multipurpose product.
Each 6 oz bar or 21.5 oz bar of DISH BLOCK® dish soap concentrate goes a long way. (Due to the handmade nature of this product, bar sizes can vary)
The HUGE 22.5 oz bar is great for intense industrial use, like in a pottery studio, mechanic shop, or daycare center. In a home, it can last for years.
How to use: Scrape dishes to remove excess grease and food. Wet sponge, for plates, bowls and cups, and rub dish soap block to create suds. (Repeat as needed to refresh suds.) Wash items and rinse well. Works in warm or cold water. We prefer warm water for best results. For pots and pans, use a scrubber or scourer.
Pro kitchen tip: Use the same dish washing block™ suds to clean your sink when it gets dirty, this can be used on porcelain, stainless, stone and glass sinks safely. We have seen customers use it to clean dirty & stained oven top surfaces as well!
Please note: using a strong scourer exclusively on the block will wear it down faster than using a soft sponge.

I was VERY skeptical on soap blocks but I made myself have an open mind. Turns out it was a great decision. We’ve been using blue dawn dish soap for years because we have hard well water and it seemed to be the only soap that would suds up enough to clean. I’m so happy to say that the dish block works just the same as blue dawn. I love how I just have to rub my wet home crocheted dish scrubbies on the block and lovely suds cover it. I recently had to clean out a large pot that had been used to deep fry chicken wings and the dish block cleaned it beautifully. I love that the soap isn’t scented.....just smells like regular soap. You do need to rinse dishes a little more to get all the soap off but that’s no biggie at all. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I’m excited to see how long it will last :)
Have been using the soap for several months. It works really well. I do cut the big block carefully in half so it is better manageable. It does not lasts as long as described but I use it also to clean my counters. Love the no waste.
We love our soap block. We've been using it for everything, dishes, cleaning the counter, hands. Really excited about this. Plus it looks nice on the counter.
I bought this because I often wash one or two dishes or my babies high chair tray and I used to splash some liquid dish soap on it, so it seemed like the practical thing to do. It works well. I wet my cloth a little and rub it on the top and wipe a dish or two down. Cleans well for this use.
I have been trying to switch to more natural products and reduce waste and this is another step!
So far so good! It’s a bit of a learning curve to use, still trying to figure out how to efficiently do dishes with a dish block.
Only complaint is that it leaves white spots on dishes & sometimes a film. I leave my dishes on the rack to dry, I imagine if you towel dry them immediately you would have a better result.
